Markit

app design, social media campaign

For this project, we were given the assignment of creating an app for the visually impaired. I came up with the concept of creating an app to help shoppers who have trouble reading the small text on nutritional labels, as well as expanding that concept to reach an audience with specific dietary needs/allergies. Markit allows shopping to be more accessible and less stressful. With a team of students, we developed an efficient UI to help users navigate easily throughout the app. We then split off to design the app on our own.

ABOUT THE CREW

I decided to give the app a diverse set of characters that are recognizable and help to represent the user. The characters help to make the app approachable and friendly, and make users feel like they're shopping with a friend.

SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN

I decided to create a social media campaign in order to promote the app. The simple and short animations help exemplify how easy it is to use the app, pushing the approachability aspect of the brand.
