Dora ID

CONCEPT CREATION

IDENTITY

STORYBOARDS

This ID follows Dora as she leads a lively parade through the vibrant jungle, surrounded by friends and family, in celebration of the debut of the new Dora series. Designed to reflect the colorful and playful spirit of the 3D Nick Jr. rebrand world, the ID features fun, inflatable textures and a stylized look for Dora and her friends, allowing for more dynamic, energetic movement throughout the scene. The result is a joyous tribute to the show's launch, capturing the excitement of this new chapter.

For the ID, I created the whole concept, storyboards, the overall “look” of the ID, the backgrounds, icons, and character designs. With the help of my team, we got into modeling the characters as well.

DORA ID STORYBOARDS

In a vibrant jungle, Dora leads a lively parade with a magical baton, unaware that Swiper is plotting to steal it. As he sneaks closer, Dora activates the baton’s powers, turning Swiper into a towering parade float. Comically squished against the camera, he rises into the sky, revealing the Nick Jr. logo behind him. This playful and adventurous scene perfectly captures the celebratory spirit of the new Dora series.

CHARACTER ART & SKETCHES

For this ID, we reimagined the Dora characters by simplifying their features to allow for more dynamic, exaggerated movements than seen in the show. This approach was used to give the ID a more playful, bouncy feel, enhancing its dramatic energy. While we pushed the stylization to create a lively, engaging animation, we ensured the characters remained recognizable and true to their original designs.
